I used to see this type of thing with SSA's AS/SET tool.
Using its Save/Restore function, if the file already existed it would rename
it with a sequential number before restoring the saved version. This way
the restore did not obliterate work you already had done.

Subject: Mystery files created - QRPGLE0001?

Folks,

I am seeing some weird files being created as mentioned. The file name will
be like QRPGLE0022 and the text will always say something like

"Old name QRPGLESRC in MPOLUTTA owned by MPOLUTTA".

Can anyone tell me where these files are coming from, and why?

Regards,
Michael Polutta
