Hi Rick,

You appear to have opendir() confused with chdir().   The former function
opens up a directory -- any directory -- so that it can be read with the
readdir() function.   The latter changes the current working directory.

Here's an analogy using traditional OS/400 concepts...   The WRKOBJ
command doesn't change your current library.  If you do WRKOBJ
MYLIB/*ALL and then a RTVJOBA CURLIB(&VAR) your current library is
unchanged.  If you want to change your current library you can do it with
CHGCURLIB...

The WRKOBJ command is similar to opendir()/readdir() except that WRKOBJ
outputs to a display whereas opendir()/readdir() output to variables in
your program.

The RTVJOBA CURLIB() is similar to getcwd()

The CHGCURLIB command is similar to the chdir() command.

Hopefully that analogy helps...
