All, I've successfully setup Virtual IP as describe in the Infocenter here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/index.htm?info/rzajw/rzajw lbvip.htm Basically, a single Virtual IP on the same subnet as my two Ethernet adapters. However, I'm wondering if the following is possible: 1) Multiple Virtual IP address 2) Virtual IP address that are not on the same subnet as (some/all) the physical adapters. I have a feeling that #2 isn't possible. But I'm thinking #1 may well be possible. Before I start playing around with this I was wondering if anyone had any tried doing this. In case you're wondering why I need this. The iSeries clients are connected via 1 of three a specified IP address and are not using DNS. So in order for the clients to start using the virtual IP address without manually reconfiguring them I need to make all three current IPs virtual and assign new IPs to the adapters. The different subnet question is because I don't have 3 new IP address on the original subnet to assign to the adapters. FYI: I am not the guy who set up the network! :-) Thanks, Charles
