It seems to me, though, that the cost of the software is probably more than enough to upgrade your LAN to 100MB. Wouldn't the money would be better spent there? Let's see. A 100MB line should transfer at least 10MB a second. So, that's what? About 2 minutes a GB? Seems reasonable to me. How many GB do you actually store in your IFS? If it's a lot more than, say, 10GB, then I submit that you're spending an awful lot on iSeries disk that you might want to consider offloading to a cheaper server. If it's not, then we're talking 20 minutes of transmission time. I dunno, just me thinking out loud. Joe
