Understood. We have a 10kVa unit dedicated to just our 820. Been trouble free for 14 years. Just have needed to replace the battery sets every few years. Our phone system also has it's own UPS and then we have a number of small APC units running servers and the like. There has been talk that we should get one UPS to run the whole data center but I kind of like having a 10kVa UPS dedicated to the AS/400. Looking for arguments for or against scrapping our 10kVa unit and getting the AS/400 connected to a UPS that would run a whole data center. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Bipes [mailto:chris.bipes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, March 05, 2004 9:59 AM To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' Subject: RE: UPS & Tape Drive We have much more than the 820 on it and just under 1 hr run time. We still have room to add either UPS or Batteries too. Chris Bipes -----Original Message----- From: Burns, Bryan Sounds like a nice UPS. How many hours can an 820 run on a 16kva UPS? _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
