I used to have that problem about once a month. It seemed as if Client Access just stopped receiving keyboard messages from Windows. However, I never associated with any particular event, such as break messages or message line output. If I recall correctly, when it happened it effected all my Client Access sessions and I had to reboot Windows (i.e restart all CA/400 from scratch) to get it back. It was a major pain when it happened, but it was infrequent enough that I never did anything about it. This happened through many versions of CA/400 and various service packs. That was on a P3 800MHz running Win2K, approx SP2, SP3. Now I am on a P3 1GHz laptop running Win2K SP4, CA V5R2 SI09809. I really haven't had that problem for a long time, definitely since before SI09809, probably since before V5R2, and possibly never on this PC. When I recently attended an iSeries Access session in Rochester, several attendees jumped the presenter about the same problem. The IBMer was not familiar with the problem and recommended people place a support call. Problem is, for me anyway, it would have been impossible to recreate at will, even back when I was having the problem. -Marty
