It's a ridiculously powerful language along the lines of a Perl or Python. It's interpreted, which means it can do lots of great stuff like creating variables on the fly, including arrays. It has great string parsing capabilities, and you can pass internal variables to OS/400 commands. It has subroutines and functions, as well some pretty decent looping constructs. I've been mucking about with it for just a couple hours today, and even with the learning curve of a new syntax I was able to put together some stuff that would have taken me all day in CL.
