Another thing to check, depending on the size of the system and # of users
is user queries that are going after large files and don't have the key they
need... We took major hits from time to time with stuff like that. That was
on our 620 @ V4R5 (replaced last September with an 810 @ V5R2).

Does your application use SQL? Have you had the database tuned? (i.e.
indexes created) If not, maybe the SQL Optimizer is creating an index
dynamically over a large file. You can usually spot this (IDX_XXXX) on
WRKACTJOB. The solution is to use the database monitor (STRDBMON) to work
out what indexes your system needs, and then create them permanently.
