It probably just wants you to look at each member in case there isn't room for the replace string.

If you are replacing strings of the same length, so you don't have to worry about insert space, you can write your own scan/replace program and do a OVRDBF of the source file with member *ALL.

With the file feedback information you can provide an audit report of each member modified. You can even get fancy and have that info go to a file for a list of members to recompile.

That's not exactly what I wanted. I had to use option 2, record a macro that does the find/replace for that member, and then click a toolbar button to run that macro for each member. I wanted it to go nonstop . . .
