I recently moved a complete operating environment from a V3R7 system to
a V4R5 one. Both are now on my network.
If I use Ops Navigator in V4R5 for the new system, when I attempt to
sign on, for many functions, V4R5 comes up with a new slightly enlarged
Signon window which says -
"To access this resource, you need to sign on to the AS/400 system"
(which is what I am trying to do!)
It then says
"Resource: Code page conversion table (285 to 437)"
Below this are the system name and fields for entering my user ID and
Password, as in the standard Signon window.
However, the system name, which I cannot change, is that for my V3R7
system, not the V4R5 system to which I am trying to sign on..
Does anyone know why there might be a need for code conversion and why
it wants to go to my old system?
If I have set up Ops Navigator correctly, why should an attempt to sign
on to one system prompt me to sign on to the other?
I am not sure whether it is relevant but Ops Navigator was set up with
my V3R7 system as the Central system. I have changed it to the V4R5
system but the problem persists. I also deleted the V4R5 connection
and recreated it.
Any help gratefully received!
Many thanks
