Hey, I love the image catalog.  Last upgrade I did I loaded all the CD's 
into the image catalog, ran the verify and found out that the 8th CD was 
sh!t.  Better to find out then instead of during the upgrade.

It's always advisable to be current. Also,  PTF number SI03120 permits the 

use of an image catalog for the upgrade. Picture being able to pre-load 
the 5.2 CD's on the machine, go home and watch the ball game until the 
users sign off, and then launch the upgrade from home with the PWRDWNSYS 
command, only you give the command the name of the image catalog rather 
than D as the IPL source. Cool stuff.
