the biggest thing i can think of would be file locks, and timing (if it
runs long and interupts your backup, for instance)

I wrote a program that seems to work pretty well - it reorgs files in a
specified library based on number of deleted records or percentage of
deleted records.

It determines if the file is keyed, and reorgs accordingly, and optionally
prints a list of files reorged.

I can post it if you're interested.

I noted alot of suspicion when I attempted to set up a file reorg process.
Just getting lists of those with large amounts of deleted records. Is there
some possible occurance that would be a detriment? I am of course referring
to off hours running.
