Here at Touchtone, we've never bothered with anything IBM has provided for
product packaging. We find it simpler just create a save file of the
relevant library. For QuestView, we have an installer (written in CL) that
does a few more things (like preserving anything the user might have put
into the product library if he or she is upgrading from a previous
release, and moving that previous release into a backup library, and
warning the user if either lack of authority or some security system value
will block a successful installation), but that installer, along with the
"library-image" save file, simply resides in another save file. Once you
have a save file, you can then use that save file to generate tapes, or
you can FTP it to a PC, ZIP it, and either email it or make it available
for download.
