Good morning everybody, I am getting started on a project to switch from using a dial-up connection to transmit some files to sending them via the internet using digital certificates. I will be receiving more information shortly but my initial understanding is that the recipient will provide the certificate. I just need to be able to use it as part of the file transmission from our 720. I've checked the archives and the Infocenter and have found some information. What I need now is some clarification and direction on what I'm missing. We are currently on V5R1 and it's been a little over six months since we've loaded any PTF's. It also looks like we don't have the Digital Certificate Manager installed. From what I can tell we are going to need it, correct? It doesn't appear in the tasks when I go to http://systemname:2001. The requirements from http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r1/ic2924/info/rzahu/rzahurzahureqdcmrequirements.htm#HDRRZAHUREQ_DCM_REQUIREMENTS state that "option 34" of OS/400 needs to be installed for the browser-based DCM feature. I've done a fair amount of loading PTF's in that past but where is option 34??? Is this an additional product that we need to purchase or could it possibly be part of our current license? I have only ordered CUMe's and PTF's once or twice. What would I need to order? Am I on the right track? Do I need anything else? Can you recommend any resources for learning about this kind of thing? I appreciate any advice that you may have. Dave Parnin Nishikawa Standard Company Topeka, IN 46571 daparnin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
