Are you sure you got the iSeries?  For example, did you get the following 
after login?
OS/400 is the remote operating system. The TCP/IP version is "V5R2M0".

Looks like you cut and pasted so I'll assume your crtlib didn't have any 
typo's.

On the remote system, if you do a 
WRKREGINF
                      Exit 
Exit                  Point 
Point                 Format
QIBM_QTMF_CLIENT_REQ  VLRQ0100
QIBM_QTMF_SERVER_REQ  VLRQ0100
QIBM_QTMF_SVR_LOGON   TCPL0100

Does an option 8 in front of any get any hits?

Anyone know what would cause this to happen when trying to use FTP from 
one iSeries to another?
