Mr.Klement - Thanks for your suggestion. However I think in your RPG - API example the TCP/IP service is the Input Parameter and the API "getservbyname" gives me the local port number. What I am looking for is an example with an Input Parameter of the local port namber and obtain the TCP/IP service name (if any ...) Probably you can advice Thanks again |---------+-------------------------------> | | Scott Klement | | | <midrange-l@scottkle| | | ment.com> | | | Sent by: | | | midrange-l-bounces@m| | | idrange.com | | | | | | | | | 06/16/2004 03:26 PM | | | Please respond to | | | Midrange Systems | | | Technical Discussion| | | | |---------+-------------------------------> >---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> | | cc: | | Subject: Re: How to retrieve TCP/IP service (local port name) by local port number | >---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Hello Jorge, > I am not sure how to do this. > Is there any way to retrieve the TCP/IP service (local port name) > associated to a local port number ? > > Just like int the command WRKSRVTBLE > Is there an API for this ?
