If what you are trying to do is send messages from the AS400 via email 
to your cell phone and you have access to a SMTP server that works(such 
as Verizon) to send messages to your phone. I would look at

(Sending E-Mail from RPG) It uses java calls so you need to be at least 
V5R1.

I know I said in my other post to your original post I had not found a 
way to authenticate to an SMTP server from the AS400 easily, this will 
do that for you.
