I think the message probably reflects exactly what is happening. Some languages (like RPG for instance) do not support recursion. It's just the nature of the language. You can code recursive programs in RPG, but to do so, you must use a different activation group for each instance. If you don't, the instance variable and state information will be the same across multiple instances.
