"Why not use a remote outq?"
It sounded like a good idea so I tried it, but it luck. Here is the outq
definition I created on the 720:
Create Output Queue (CRTOUTQ)
Type choices, press Enter.
Output queue . . . . . . . . . . > I5 Name
Library . . . . . . . . . . . *CURLIB Name, *CURLIB
Maximum spooled file size:
Number of pages . . . . . . . *NONE Number, *NONE
Starting time . . . . . . . . Time
Ending time . . . . . . . . . Time
+ for more values
Order of files on queue . . . . *FIFO *FIFO, *JOBNBR
Remote system . . . . . . . . . > *INTNETADR
Remote printer queue . . . . . . > 'QGPL/I5'
Writers to autostart . . . . . . *NONE 1-10, *NONE
Queue for writer messages . . . QSYSOPR Name
Library . . . . . . . . . . . *LIBL Name, *LIBL, *CURLIB
Connection type . . . . . . . . > *IP *SNA, *IP, *USRDFN
Destination type . . . . . . . . *OS400 *OS400, *OS400V2, *PSF2..
Host print transform . . . . . . > *NO *YES, *NO
User data transform . . . . . . *NONE Name, *NONE
Library . . . . . . . . . . . Name, *LIBL, *CURLIB
Internet address . . . . . . . . > '10.0.0.100'
This was suggested by someone else on the list. I created an outq on the i5
in QGPL called I5 with no special attributes.
I started the *LPD server on both the I5 and 720. Do I need to start
another service in order for this to work? I can telnet to the i5 from the
720 so I know we have communications up between them.
Ideas?
