        Hi,

        RUNQRY     QRY(YINDTRD) QRYFILE((ZLIB/YTRDF1))
        YPTDATE is one date field from YTRDF1 file, which is defined as 9
char,the value for today will be 020040816
        ======
        if i call following I will get YDATE value...
        DCL        VAR(&YDATE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(8)
        CALL       PGM(YRTVDATE) PARM('D' &YDATE '*YYMD' +
                         'CW.HARR')
        YDATE value for today will be 20040816
        ====

        Basically I need to implement the condition YPTDATE < YDATE
        in query YINDTRD. Is this possible for me to write this condition in
query or I have to totally replace the query with openquery?pls kindly answer,
Thanks  so much in adv...
        Murali
