We've written a program to walk through every object in a library and
re-align the security for every object in the library. It only
changes 1 object at a time, but it does need to get a lock on the
object. We create 2 authorization lists per library-- one for
programs, display files, print files, and other non-data objects; and
one for data-holding objects. For each object, we revoke all
existing authority, point it to the proper authorization list, the
grant *PUBLIC authority to the *AUTL.
The basic program does a DSPOBJD library/*ALL to an outfile, then
reads that file and processes each object retrieved. You can use all
of the object attributes, to determine if a file is a data holder, or
just a display file.
