   The early bird gets the worm.  :)  Yeah, you are right there were so many
   people who wanted to take the workshops last spring, and there is a limit
   on the number of people who can take the Sunday fullday workshops this
   year as well, the good thing is that there are now 5 to choose from, so
   that we can accommodate more people in total. It is another good reason to
   register early, in addition to saving $200.  I know it was discussed
   running the Linux workshop again, and the Conference Education Team (CET)
   decided that they wanted all the workshops for this conference to deal
   with the theme of Enterprise modernization, so the topics are Modernizing
   RPG Applications by Paul Tuohy, Enterprise Modernization Using the IBM
   Toronto Tools  by the IBM Toronto Lab Team, Moving to the Web with RPG by
   Bob Cozzi, Java Web Workshop by Jim Mason, and WebSphere Portal Server by
   Astech.  I know that there are many members of the CET who are on M-L, so
   I am sure they will see your comments and hopefully we will be offering it
   again.  

   I think the workshops are a great way to get some in-depth learning about
   a subject, and glad to see COMMON offering them. I know from the surveys
   of those who attended the last bolt-ons (full day pre conference
   workshops) they were extremely satisfied.  There are a lot of new and
   interesting things happening at and within COMMON right now, and everyone
   will be hearing about them in the next few months.  So stay tuned.
