John, This one is actually rather easy. Hotmail, and AOL, etc. perform reverse domain lookups to determine if the email is spam. If it cannot recognize the domain, then it does not deliver the email. So, what you are sending thru DST are messages with a from address of: iSystemName.companyname.com Since that is an invalid domain name, Hotmail rejects it You can fix it by entering an alias for the user who is sending the email - into the system alias table. Using WRKNAMSMTP TBLTYPE(*SYSTEM), create an entry for the sending user - match the Directory Entry for that user - and use a valid domain name. That should do it, Trevor ----- Original Message ----- > "John Allen" <jallen@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx > 09/23/2004 03:12 PM > Please respond to > Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > > > To > "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > cc > > Fax to > > Subject > email using SNDDST does not go to HotMail accounts > > > > > > > I just noticed that using SNDDST to email reports (couple of pages) as PDF > attachment do not all get delivered to HotMail accounts. > > I emailed 6 different 1 page reports to a HotMail account (individual > SNDDST > used for each report) and only the 2nd and 6th one are delivered. > > I tried different number of reports and all reports are never delivered, > but > at least one is delivered. > > > > I can email these reports to any other email accounts. > > > > I am thinking it may have to do with some type of Spam Filtering HotMail > does. > > > > Has anyone experienced problems using SNDDST to HotMail email accounts? > > > > John >
