Do NOT delete the physical files. Instead clean up your spool files, and if you are really desperate run a RCLSPLSTG 1 and you will get your space back from the deleted spool files. While there is some cleanup directly after a spool file is deleted, the RCLSPLSTG will clean up some additional space.
