Hey, before you reinvent a wheel that's been invented millions of times,
maybe you should ask if anyone's got one they'd be willing to share. <g>
There's a fair amount of drudge work involved, especially if you're pulling
in file desc, field descs, key fields, select/omits, multiple record
formats, etc., etc.

Of course, it's still a great learning exercise, especially if you take
advantage of the APIs and leave the outfiles alone.

At a minimum, in a pinch, you could use DSPFFD to an outfile and query that.
