We have the Cisco VPN 3005, and do not experience this issue. I am
regularly on a tunnel session for several hours, and have several
times had a tunnel stay alive all weekend.

The box can be administered via the browser. There is a "Maximum
Connect Time" parameter in the "Group" and "User" settings that I
believe controls this behavior. We have it set to 0, which means no
maximum. Help text for this setting is . . .

There is also an "Idle Timeout" setting byt we have that set to 30
seconds, so it seems to not be relevant to this behavior.

Hope this helps.
