I can agree on ops console, we have over 150 270's running ops console on XP and 2000 with the LCS connection and pc anywhere. We actually upgraded all of the 270's remotely and only had on pc lock up out of them all. It does work, you have to just make sure the pc is a standard build watching the service packs.
