Like the barefoot cobbler's son, I finally ran that on my primary PC
(after running it on a few others that I use) and now I don't get the java
message in Infocenter and it just fires it up.

What's PDM? ;-)

Rob,

In that same area, provides a link for Windows requirements or something
to
that effect. Click on it and you can download the JVM piece from IBM or
Sun.

Even with the correct JVM it is slow in loading. It runs the applet each
time you go to Info Center.......

That liked to drove me nuts! That's right up there with that stupid
message
when ending WRKMBRPDM at V5R3. :-)

Regards,

Mike Shaw

Actually I could see part of the infocenter. And I'd get the java warning

and tell it to go on anyway. Until I checked the faq and fixed the java
version. So it made good sense to me.

That certainly makes sense. Put it in the info center so that if your java
version isn't supported, you can't see it anyway.
(And, yes, if your version isn't supported, you cannot see it.)

What version/flavor of Java is recommended for use with IBM's web site,
Ops Nav, etc.?
