Have you tried running the install CD using the Windows Compatability
feature of XP?

Load the CD into the drive, and if it starts to auto-install then cancel it.
Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CD/DVD drive and then find the
install or setup executable. Right click on the executable and select
properties. From the properties dialog, select the Compatability tab and
then check the "Run this program in Compatability Mode" check box and select
Windows 2000 from the drop down list.

Hope it helps

All the best
