Ack.  I keep seeing this X'7D' thing ...

It would be better to use '''' in the named constant or field.  There's
not really that much difference in ugliness between '''' and X'7D', and
'''' is much less obfuscated for those who know what '''' means.

Aside from that, '''' is portable.  If someone using VA RPG tried to use
the X'7D' idea, they would get incorrect results.
