I've install WAS Express and ordered the group PTF. While i'm waiting for the PTF, Can i go ahead and create a server. i tried walking through the wizard, but it keeps failing(without any messages as to why) Maybe its because i don't have the PTF. If not, any idea how i can determine why it failed? Again, maybe i should just wait for the PTF, but i was just hoping to start familiarizing myself with it a little. -----Original Message----- From: Ingvaldson, Scott [mailto:SIngvaldson@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 10:08 AM To: 'midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: RE: Installing WAS express 5.1 Make sure that you have the group PTF, for V5R3M0 WebSphere App Server - Express V5.1 order SF99275. I'm planning on driving a couple of hours to the remote location to try and install tomorrow. . I've been reading through the documentation, but I have a couple of questions. First, when I do a Go LICPGM and display installed license programs I see 5769AS1 installed. I read somewhere that this is an old version of Websphere. Can someone confirm this? Second. This looks like a fairly simple install. Does anyone know of any gotchas? Michael Smith iSeries.mySeries.
