For firewalls we use linux's built in packet filtering (iptables).  We 
have a linux box that sits in front of the DMZ.  We also have one for the 
private network.

We also use mozilla for email and web browser.

We use SSL enabled telnet with the iSeries and ssh for *nix.

We use clamav anti-virus software and spamassassin mail filtering.

We have a good password policy in place.
