I have not tried this, but instead of saving to tape and then reading
the contents back and then using FTP like the link says, it might be
simpler if you already have a DVD -RW drive on your iSeries.

I think If you have a DVD-RW drive on your iSeries, i think you can
just sav to the optical device instead of the tape and take the
contents of the optical device by accessing it thru the IFS '\QOPT'
and take the contents and burn it on a CD.
