Nothing that would chirp.  Maybe just the control panel battery to 
maintain time, maybe a cache battery for a disk controller. 
Maybe you've mixed too much Jack Daniels with your Egg Nog !  ;-)

Even though I now think it was a real cricket in the boxes, (and no
ship level indicator on these boxes) - without ordering any UPS
feature, is there any small backup built into a small 520?
