Just went and checked. None of the buses containing IXS cards have any 2843 or 2844 cards. Is this new IXS Pentium-M server an exception to the rule? Do the IXS cards require a 2843 or a 2844? I thought so. However I just got off the phone with my CE and he will be here in 1.5 hours to install an IXS card and it's lan card. I said that we also have a 2843 card and he said that IXS cards don't need it - it's built in. This server already sports a couple of IXS cards: WRKNWSD Network Server CITRIX4 CITRIX5 GDSBAAN1 GDSEDI1 GDSNT1 GDSSQL HELPSERV Seems like everytime yet another wintel server goes casters up the technicians like to install an IXS card into our i5 and put it on there.
