It's pretty easy to write your own. Set the system value QINACTMSGQ to a message queue(not qsysopr) Set the QINACTITV to the time you want. the program you write will wait on the message queue as in the QINACTMSGQ system value. When a message hit the queue you program "wakes up" and based on the info in the message you decide who gets cancelled and who gets a pass... of course you want to store that info in a file. here is a simplistic example IBM has on their knowledge database, you should be able to get the hang of it from there. http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/1ac66549a21402188625680b0002037e/ccd92ccc0c87bd60862565c2007d2aa7?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,qinactmsgq ---------------------------- Bryan Dietz Aktion Associates midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 01/11/2005 10:32:33 AM: > I have the need to provide a standalone tool to terminate the sessions of > different users who have been inactive for 2 and 4 hours.
