Sanjivji, I should have also pointed out that sending to another system isn't the only way to prevent changing the data. It could prevent loss of data but you are already using Mimix. The alternative is to use public key encryption to sign the entries on the iSeries where the iSeries system administrator doesn't know the private key. That wouldn't be too hard to accomplish.
