Since you are doing a RTVSYSVAL QDATE instead of a RTVJOBA DATE(&THEDATE)
then it will contain the date of when the second CL starts.

Subject
Question on what date is used in CL procedure

We have a nightly procedure that is started about 11:30pm. In it, there
is a call to another procedure. This second procedure is usually called
before mid-night. We will be adding some more file saves it could run
after mid-night.
If it is called after mid-night, which date will the second CL have, the
date from the first CL or when the second CL is called?

DCL VAR(&DATE) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(6)
RTVSYSVAL SYSVAL(QDATE) RTNVAR(&DATE)

Thanks for you help in advance,
Willie Moore
