One license per processor used for i5/OS, is most likely what they meant. That way you could have three LPARs of i5/OS (2 with one processor, 1 with two) and then some AIX and Linux work on the other 5 processors. As an example. That would save quite a bit of money rather than 9 licenses when you're only using 4 for i5/OS work. Justin C.
