Howdy,

I think a search of the midrange archives will cover discussions about 
file useage.

As for the use of /COPY in RPG programs we did the following:

1) write a series of programs that reads through a source physical file
	a) you must include a OVRDBF to member *ALL
	b) you must use the file feedback to detect the program source member name
	c) read through the source members and output to a new file all 
instances of /COPY, output the whole statement along with the program 
source member name
	d) use QUERY or other method of choice to sort resulting file by the 
/COPY statement then by program name and either display or list.
