The VB application provided a visual way for the user to view and change a piece of inventory ( it was a sheet of steel that the user was cutting pieces from and putting the remainder back into inventory ) when the user selected the subfile option I used a socket connection to tell the waiting VB program to draw the sheet according to all the information I sent it. Then the changes the user made would be applied back to the 400. It worked great. It was a real cash cow! Only it was an interactive dinosaur and had to die. -Steve
