Once again, Steve, The only thing that differentiates an interactive job from a batch job is its connection to a display file. Display files are not threadsafe and never will be. It is for this reason and this reason only that IBM will not make an interactive job multi-thread capable. IBM has been telling us in many ways for a long time that we should ditch display file technology and, in turn, interactive jobs. Time to do it.
