If you are using Client Access to print to the printer you need to set the printer up on the pc first. How it's done depends on the printer. I have never done it but if you can print from your pc to the printer using a null modem cable then you can use client access the same way. All you do is reference the printer you set up in Windows in the Client Access session. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Malchow, Grizzly Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2005 10:18 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Attach Intermec 3400 I'm trying to attach an Intermec 3400 label printer through my PC. I'm not really sure what I need to do. I imagine I have to set something up in Client Access and then create an outq that points to the printer that I setup in client access. So far all I have done is create an OUTQ. By that I mean I did the following CRTOUTQ OUTQ(TESTLBLQ). I will need to change the RMTSYS information once I know what that is. Can anyone tell me if I'm heading in the right direction, or if I'm completely off track? I'm using a null modem cable right now, but do I need to use a parallel cable? -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
