Thanks guys, I sent him the link to the redbook. These folks are bound and
determined to do all their development in the SQL Server world. They don't
have any RPG talent even though they are running their line of business
software on an iSeries. I just got silence from this developer when I told
him that he could get his results faster with an RPG program and some
logical files.
Oh well, lead a horse to water and all that.... :-))

Did they want this to return a result set? If so,
you might want to look at SG24-6503-01 (the Redbook
"Stored Procedures, Trigger, and User Defined
Functions"). There is a section on returning result
sets from SQL stored procedures.
