This past weekend I applied some PTFs on one of our machines. For
the first time, I used Image Catalogs for some of the sets.
The instructions say to create a catalog, then load the CDs for the
PTFs to the catalog. They also caution to clear the catalog after
it's used. Otherwise, if the same catalog is re-used, the new PTF
CDs will be added to the existing CDs. When the PTFs are added to
OS/400, -all- of the loaded CDs will be processed, set by set, until
they are all processed.
Question: Can I do this intentionally? Can I load PTF set after PTF
set after PTF set to the same catalog, and have them all process in
one swell foop? It would seem so, but are there an Gotchas?
