You wouldn't happen to have a 3582, with scsi LTO2 drives, that you wanted 
to sell cheap, would you?  We're looking at one to resolve a TSM issue.

We have fiber 3582 with lto2 drives and they work pretty good.  Except 
that last two Wednesday night backups report a media error (different 
physical media for sure).  But I've seen some less than flattering 
comments regarding the lto3's also.

3582 Tape Library Experiences






Anyone out there using 3582 tape libraries?  With fibre LTO3 drives?
 
I'm looking for feedback before we commit to a purchase.  I've read a
few of the less-than-flattering comments about LTO3; has IBM worked out
the kinks yet or are there still reasons to be wary?
 
We would be connecting the library, with two drives, to two LPARs on an
i5 via 5704/fibre.  One drive dedicated to each LPAR.  BRMS will manage
everything.
