I bet the journal set up will be totally different with remote journalling 
and a HA solution.  But if this line of thought dazzles the boss into 
going with journalling now, it might be worth running it by him.

Well, don't know that I'd say "HA solution will do some journaling.."

The fact of the matter is you'll need to turn on journaling to use the HA 
solution.  Particularly the HA solutions like iTera that use remote 
journal receivers.  If you don't already have it on, the HA solution 
install will turn it on.

If it were me, I'd turn on journaling now.  That way you can turn it on 
incrementally and work out any problems you may have prior to installing 
the HA solution.
