I've been pretty disgusted with the results from search400.com.  Just 
searching the IBM site is much better.

I understand & agree with Dan's frustration with the search engine. 
However, there is another search engine at IBM, and it is a whole lot 
better than the one in InfoCenter. The one you should also try is at the 
iSeries Support site. http://www.iseries.ibm.com/support has a search 
entry 
in the upper-right corner. Put something there, or just click on the 
search 
button, and you will get IBM-specific stuff, including PTF cover letters, 
APARs, knowledge base articles, redbooks, even InfoCenter stuff, and other 

resources. It's almost as good as google.   ;-)

It is really worth a try.
