I might recommend coming up with a more "formalized" *written* document that compiles the list of strengths of the iSeries as a separate item, and you might reference the links to IBM's pages like the cost-of-ownership page... You might even concede a few points to MS in some narrow area where it's "stronger"..if you can think of any..

The security issue involves valuable customer data, no doubt..

There was one recommendation (jns?) to use the situtation, assuming they continue ahead, to learn the Wintel side of things, and it's a good idea also, meaning let them also see you as adaptable.
