Re: EBCIDC to ASCII table references?

Maybe I should ask this first.

If I have a program with a character literal (say a double
quote) and the programs are restored on a machine running
in a different code page than mine, how are those literals
handled, or how should they be handled?

I notice in CP 37 it is X'37' but in CP 1026 it's X'3C' (I
could be off here, but you get the idea).
